NJ State Library and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation team up to help New Jersey residents through their local libraries!

The NJ State Library was the recipient of a 5 million dollar grant. The grant was a combination of Federal recovery funds with matching money from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The directors of the New Jersey Public Libraries were invited to a conference in early October to learn about how this grant affects us locally and the grant time-line.

The Runnemede Library is slated to receive one new computer as well as education for the staff and access to many educational and job search databases that we could otherwise not afford to offer to our community. The purpose of the grant is to make NJ libraries One Stop job search, resume building and education centers. Look for more information as the State Library moves forward with these plans!
