Your public library – one of the best deals in town! When you receive your 3rd quarter tax bill this month, you’ll notice a new line labeled Public Library Tax. The Library Board of Trustees wants to reassure you that this is not a new tax. A state law passed in 2011 requires your public library tax to be displayed separately from the general municipal tax line. The amount of your general municipal tax line was reduced by the exact amount that your Public Library tax line now shows, so it doesn’t result in any increase in your taxes. As a Runnemede Borough taxpayer, you have access to a world of information at your library, and we’re sure you will think it is a bargain! Services that the library provides include job seeking assistance, college preparation tools, early literacy programming for kids, summer reading programs for people of all ages, and so much more. Stop by the library or check out our website at www.RunnemedePublicLibrary.com to find out more. If you don’t already have a library card, you’ll be surprised at how much you’re missing out on! Stop by and get your free card today. If you have questions or comments about the library, please contact the Library Director at Runnemedelibrary@gmail.com, 856-939-4688, or stop by the library. We are proud of the services that we offer to the residents of Runnemede and we always welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions.
