EAGLE SCOUT PROJECTS

The Library has been the recepient of three spectacular
 Eagle Scout Projects from
Boy Scout Troop 117 in Runnemede, NJ

2011 Eagle Project by Evan Abrams

This year, Evan Abrams completed an extensive project to help the Runnemede Public Library.
His Eagle Scout Project included, A Book shaped sign with floodlights accenting the sign at night.
He also created a planting bed at the base of the sign
and installed solar flood lights on the Senior Center side of the building
.
We really appreciate the thought and effort that went into this very special project.

In 2006, Christopher Casad of Glendora, NJ along with assistance from family, friends and community installed the first of two gardens as part of a beautification project on library property.
Chris's project included, a circular bed with a weeping cherry tree, four concrete benches circling the bed, a handicap accessible picnic table and brick lining of the walkway to the library entrance.

In 2008, Christopher Foody, from Runnemede, along with Troop 117, family, friends and community built a forty foot planting bed to grace the front of the library facing the Black Horse Pike.  The project not only included the brick structure but the enormous amout of planting material as well as the beautiful plants in the bed itself.
